Ahhh Autumn….

Summer has officially ended, and Fall has formally started (based on that Equinox thing) and so far, the weather has played right along. Just a few weeks ago we had temps in the low 90’s.  Now we’re 30 to 40 degrees colder.

Leaves are changing color, the wind is starting to blow, and the days are getting shorter.  Along with the chills come some thrills, as Halloween is on its way and yards and houses are looking either mighty Autumnal, or downright creepy! If you’re a fan of horror movies the sky’s the limit this month.  Seems that every TV station is running monster movies.  How do you embrace Halloween?  Are you a smiley pumpkin person or do you enjoy a good scare?

So many goodies to choose from! Candy Corn, Caramel Apples, Hot apple Cider and Hot Chocolate!  Will you go Trick or Treating or stay home and hand out candy to the goblins at the door?  Do you prefer to decorate with Autumn colors or Spooky decorations?

With Summer in the rear view mirror, there are so many ways to get out there and enjoy all that the orange and black has to offer.  Local farms offer corn mazes, hayrides, pumpkin carving or painting.  How about a brisk sunrise walk in the crisp morning air?

Plan a movie night and invite your friends for some popcorn and a scary movie or two. Go on a fall foliage run and take turns driving so everyone can see the colors bursting in the trees as if Heaven had a paintbrush. Why not visit a haunted house for some bone chilling thrills?

Top it off gathered round a firepit to re-warm those bones.  If all else fails there’s always, “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (I know that put a smile on your face).  No matter how you enjoy Halloween, keep it Sprightly and maybe a little bit Frightly.
