Cheerleader

Cheers!

What does having more sparkle, joy, love and laughter mean to you? Let me begin by asking you a couple of questions. What’s the first thought you have when you wake up in the morning? Are you excited for the activities you have planned? Do you wake up before your alarm goes off, feeling full of energy?

If not, when was the last time you woke up feeling alive? Were you on vacation? What would need to change for you to wake up feeling great?

Here’s what has helped me. I wrote a list of 5 things that are most important to me; my morning devotions, taking a walk or some kind of fun movement (it could be dancing!), connect with my community (in person, by phone, online), feed my creativity (read, craft, sing, dance, cook) and spend some time in nature (which is sometimes incorporated into an activity already listed)

I made a list of those 5 items and do my best to carve out time for each one every day. Even if it’s only 10-15 minutes. It has made such a difference in my overall feeling of fulfillment and meaning. By being intentional about the activities is important, but there’s one more step that will keep you coming back for more. Celebrate them!! When you have made time for the things that are important, celebrate! Cheer! Throw some confetti! Do whatever it takes for you to embrace the fact that you made yourself a priority. You made time to do the things that make you feel alive!

Way to go!!! (Can you hear me cheering for you?)
