Simple Pasta Dinner

Ingredients:

2 lbs of ground turkey

I onion

1 TBL olive oil or avocado oil

1 29-oz can of tomato sauce (We use unsalted and add our own spices)

Any combination of sauteed vegetables: spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, etc. (if desired)

Spices to your taste: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion salt, oregano, Italian seasoning…

I box 12-oz noodles (There are many varieties of veggie-based noodles if you are trying to avoid white flour: red lentil, chickpea, zucchini, quinoa, lentils…)

Directions:

Chop up onion and vegetables (if desired).  Sautee in olive oil or avocado oil.  Add ground turkey to sauteed onions and veggies.  Cook until browned.  Add a can of tomato sauce and any spices to browned meat.

Cook pasta as directed.  Add to meat sauce.

Add a garden salad, if desired, as a side dish.
